Photographer, scientist, traveler: Dave Thomas has developed his photographic style from his instinctual love of the natural world blended with a formal scientific education.

Dave Thomas is a Bucks County, Pennsylvania based photographer working across editorial and fine art projects. Dave’s aesthetic and photographic sensibility was formed by his love of nature coupled with his formal education as a chemist and environmentalist including a Master’s degree in environmental science and a PhD in analytical chemistry.

Dave’s work has appeared in several exhibitions and juried shows including multiple shows at the Phillips Mill Photographic Exhibition and the Philadelphia Sketch Club and online in the Photo Review annual competition. Most recently, Dave exhibited his work in a two-person show with artist Deborah Bruns-Thomas entitled “Elements from the Field” showcasing their work inspired by the natural world.

Dave resides on a 10-acre horse farm in Doylestown, PA with his wife Deborah, their horses and two dogs.
